FOOTBALL CAPTAIN CONNOR HEALY '10 NAMED EVANS SCHOLAR Brother Rice's Football Captain Connor Healy '10 (Evergreen Park Most Holy Redeemer) was named a Chick Evans scholar this past weekend. According to the Chick Evans Foundation website, since the first two Scholars enrolled at Northwestern University in 1930, over 8,800 young men and women have graduated from the program. In 2009, 845 Evans Scholars are enrolled at 19 universities across the country. Upon graduating from Brother Rice in the spring, Healy will attend the University of Illinois and major in Business Administration. Throughout his time at Brother Rice, Connor has played both football and rugby, and is a member of the National Honor Society. In addition to his Brother Rice activities and caddying at Ridge CC, Connor is also a Eucharistic minister at Most Holy Redeemer."Brother Rice has superbly prepared me for life after high school" Healy said. "Thanks to my counselor and teachers, I am ready to continue onto the University of Illinois and honored to have received the Evans Scholarship."
